Redox Diagnostics is focused on creating an early diagnostic assay for Alzheimer`s disease. The enzyme targeted in this assay is cytochrome c oxidase (CO; Complex IV) of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. This specific deficiency has been found in brain and in platelets from AD patients.
