Everyone has a role to play in strengthening Australia's cyber security. The Department of Home Affairs wants to gather as many views as they can about the best way to protect Australian families, businesses and our critical infrastructure from cyber threats; enable them to better manage the risks; and support all Australians to benefit from a cyber resilient economy.

AustCyber encourages you participate in the consultation for Australia’s 2020 Cyber Security Strategy.

The new strategy will be a successor to Australia’s landmark 2016 Cyber Security Strategy, which set out the government’s four-year plan to advance and protect our interests online, backed by more than $230 million investment in key initiatives.

The new strategy will build on this investment to continue to support Australia to meet the rapidly evolving cyber threat environment as well as take advantage of the enormous growth opportunities afforded by a trusted, digitally enabled economy.

How to make a submission

Submit your responses to the questions by using Australia’s 2020 Cyber Security Strategy - submission form.

Submissions close on 1 November 2019.

AustCyber encourages you to share your views, experiences and ideas regarding:

• The questions asked within the discussion paper.
• Other topics relevant to a cyber security strategy such as industry creation, investment and cyber innovation for the economy and national security more broadly.

AustCyber will be making a submission on behalf of interested stakeholders.
